Arden Courts of Richmond in Midlothian, VA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to administer medications and treatments to residents, maintaining accurate work records in accordance with professional standards and physician orders.

As part of the Health & Wellness team, you will ensure residents’ needs are met, follow facility policies and federal/state guidelines, and contribute to high-quality, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in state of practice.
• Gerontological nursing experience including dementia preferred.
• Basic reading and writing skills; ability to speak English clearly.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents and maintains related work records. The LPN also ensures resident’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, facility policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines . Requirements

Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Years of Experience: Gerontological nursing including dementia population preferred
Licensure: Current active LPN license in state of practice

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for writing and medication administration); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment
