Job summary

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg is seeking a Clinic LPN for our Pediatric Clinic. This part-time day position operates Tue and Thu, with potential additional Mondays, at our Lawrenceburg location.

You will work under RN supervision to deliver direct patient care and support the pediatric team. Requirements include Tennessee LPN license, BLS within 7 days, and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee or compact LPN license.
• BLS certification within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform plan of care interventions including specimen collection and wound care.
• May administer medications as directed.
• Document patient care provided and assist in care planning.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Monitor and communicate patient status with RN, physician, patient and families.
• Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Obtain insurance re-authorizations as needed.

Come join our Pediatric team! We are located in Lawrenceburg. We have 2 full time NPs, 1 MD, and 1 PRN NP. We have a great time and would love to have you join us. We work 7:30am-5:00pm Monday - Thursday and 7:30am-12:00pm on Fridays.

How You'll Contribute

A Clinic LPN who excels in this role:

• As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• May administer medication.
• Documents patient care given.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Obtains insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current Tennessee or compact state LPN license and be a graduate of a Practical Nursing program. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire.
• Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Experience: One-year previous experience preferred.
• Licenses: LPN License for the State of Tennessee.
• Education: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.

STRHS-Lawrenceburg, formerly Crockett Hospital, is a 99-bed, acute care facility located in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, 85 miles south of Nashville. We have been providing the best healthcare in Lawrence County and surrounding counties in Southern Middle Tennessee since 1974.
