Lifepoint Health's Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg Pediatric Clinic is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our pediatric team in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

The role supports RN with direct patient care under supervision, performing wound care, specimen collection, medication administration as needed, and documenting care while helping with daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee or compact state LPN license.
• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
• BLS certification within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision.
• Perform plan of care interventions including wound care and specimen collection.
• May administer medications as directed.
• Document patient care accurately.
• Assist RN with plan of care development.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Monitor and communicate patient status to RN/physician/family.
• Advocate for patient well‑being.
• Schedule procedures and obtain insurance re-authorizations as needed.

Come join our Pediatric team! We are located in Lawrenceburg. We have 2 full time NPs, 1 MD, and 1 PRN NP. We have a great time and would love to have you join us. We work 7:30am-5:00pm Monday - Thursday and 7:30am-12:00pmon Fridays.

How you'll contribute

• As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.

• May administer medication.

• Documents patient care given.

• Assists RN with development of plan of care.

• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient’s status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.

• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

• Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.

• Obtains insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Tennessee or compact state LPN license and be a graduate of a Practical Nursing program. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire.
• Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Experience: One-year previous experience preferred.
• Licenses: LPN License for the State of Tennessee.
• Education: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.

STRHS-Lawrenceburg, formerly Crockett Hospital, is a 99-bed, acute care facility located in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, 85 miles south of Nashville.

We have been providing the best healthcare in Lawrence County and surrounding counties in Southern Middle Tennessee since 1974. We expanded the facility and services in 1991 with the addition of an Outpatient Surgery Unit, a state-of-the-art 24-hour physician-staffed Emergency Department, and an Intensive Care Unit. The hospital opened a 10-bed Physical Rehabilitation Unit in 1997, and a Women’s Health Center in 1999. Diagnostic imaging services include in-house MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CT, X-ray, Digital Mammography and Ultrasound. The Rehabilitation Unit provides Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies.
