Job summary

River Landing at Sandy Ridge is seeking a Part-Time LPN for 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:00 pm) on Saturdays and Sundays. This role involves direct resident care in a Continuing Care Retirement Community.

You will record histories, monitor vitals, assist with daily activities, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have an active LPN license, strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to work well under pressure while

Qualifications

• Must have completed LPN licensing program.
• Proven experience as LPN or similar role.
• Ability to perform diverse care tasks in a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in clinical settings.
• Confidentiality and nursing best practices.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Office and data entry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Capable of handling stress in caregiving environments.

Responsibilities

• Record a patient’s medical history accurately.
• Take and record vital signs (BP, temp, HR).
• Observe patient progress and monitor treatment effects.
• Maintain patient charts and monitor fluids intake/output.
• Assist with daily activities (eating, bathing).
• Administer injections, medications; wound care as needed.
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Communicate with families to relay care instructions.

Responsibilities

• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
• Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions

Skills

• Proven experience as LPN or similar role
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
• Perfect physical condition and stamina
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to handle stress
• Successful completion of LPN license program is a must
