Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Norfolk, VA is hiring a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for overnight shifts, every other weekend (7pm–7:30am). You will assess new clients, perform nursing duties, coordinate with pharmacy, and document care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Post-high school diploma program preferred.
• Current, valid LPN or RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties: screening, vitals, scheduling labs and appointments, updating charts.
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense meds and maintain logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and UR teams to coordinate care.
• Ensure impeccable medical documentation and medication logging for each client.

Now hiring part time LPNs for our new location in Norfolk, VA!

Shift: Every other weekend, overnight shift (7pm-7:30am). This can be a Friday-Saturday position or Saturday-Sunday position.

What You’ll Do

• Complete comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission
• Perform all nursing shift duties (screening, vitals, scheduling appt.s and labs, updating charts...)
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense meds and maintain med logs
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure seamless coordination of care
• Ensure impeccable medical documentation, chart review, and medication logging for each client

What We’re Looking For

• High School diploma/ GED
• Minimum one-year diploma program post-high school
• Current, valid LPN or RN licensure
• 1 year experience in treatment industry preferred
• Strong critical thinking, oral and written communication skills
• Excellent collaborative, multitasking and time management skills
