Spanish Bilingual Licensed Practical Nurse

Responsibilities

• Under the general supervision of the RN and/or Physician, the Licensed Practical Nurse-LPN will support providers in the provision of care including recording vital signs, administering methadone, discussing chief health concerns, performing testing, and assisting with procedures and documentation.
• Assesses, plans, evaluates, and delivers nursing care in collaboration with RN and/or Physician.
• Records and reports any spillage that may occur while dispensing a patient’s medication.
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of patient’s needs.
• Follows protocols for methadone dispensing as established by OASAS.
• Tallies medication sheet at the end of the day.
• Under the supervision of an RN, physically counts medication at the end of day closing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Graduate of a formal Technical or Vocational LPN Program.
• NYS LPN license.
• BLS certification.
• At least One (1) year experience as an LPN working with clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or in a similar working environment.
• Proficiency in Phlebotomy and EKG.
• Available to work a flexible schedule as needed in response to participant and staff needs.
• Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR.
