Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a night shift LPN to join our nursing team in North Carolina. The position requires an unrestricted LPN license and offers a sign-on bonus.

Shifts run 7pm–7am, full-time, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the LPN will plan, coordinate, provide, and manage nursing care and health education for residents.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted LPN license required.
• Night shift (7pm–7am) on 12-hour shifts.
• Full-time position.
• Prior long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CNAs and other staff on the unit.
• Coordinate nursing care and ensure appropriate care delivery.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions.
• Transcribe and coordinate physician orders accurately.
• Perform nursing assessments and communicate changes to the physician.
• Develop and implement a care plan based on assessments.
• Select nursing interventions to stabilize conditions and prevent complications.
• Contribute to resident assessments and care plan updates.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the LPN will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents. These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and /or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
