Job summary

The Wagoner County Detention Center is seeking a dependable, compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This position offers a consistent schedule, excellent employer-paid benefits, and plenty of days off.

You will work 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, Thursdays/Fridays/Saturdays, and alternating Wednesdays, with 3 or 4 shifts per week, in a secure detention healthcare setting. No prior correctional nursing experience is required; training provided.

Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma LPN license required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Able to pass a background investigation.
• Able to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders.
• Complete medication pass and required documentation.
• Respond to patient medical needs and medical emergencies; assist with intake screenings and chronic care.
• Communicate changes or concerns to the healthcare provider.
• Follow provider protocols, treatment plans, and written or verbal medical orders.
