Department/Unit Summary

Join our team in Inpatient Rehabilitation where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team. You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high‑quality patient care

How you’ll contribute

As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Essential Functions

  • Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Assists RN with development of plan of care.
  • Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Education: Graduate of accredited LPN program.
  • License: /Certifications: Current LPN license in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred
  • ASLS certification preferred
