Job summary

National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, AR, is seeking a Night shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Medical Surgical units. You will assess patients, administer treatments, document care, and support the care team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

We require an active LPN license with BLS; ACLS and PALS within 90 days, and prefer 1 year of experience. This is a full-time role offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current state LPN license required.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect data for RN review.
• Perform plan of care interventions and wound care; may administer medications.
• Document patient care and assist RN with care plans.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Monitor and communicate patient status with RN, physician, patient and family.
• Support performance improvement and ongoing education.

How you'll contribute

ALicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:

• Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
