Job summary

MedStar Health Home Care is seeking a Part-Time LPN in Virginia with home care experience. One weekend per month required; orientation Monday–Friday for 6–12 weeks before starting a part-time schedule (8 hour days, 3 days/week).

As an LPN, you will support care plans under RN supervision, assist patients and caregivers toward goals, and join a team of nurses and therapists dedicated to patient-centered care in the home setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program of Practical Nursing.
• 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in acute care required; home care/home health preferred.
• Current LPN license in DC/MD/VA or as required by work location.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled home health care under RN supervision.
• Implement and support patient care plans; monitor and report changes.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and therapies.

Minimal Qualifications

Education

• Graduation from an accredited program of Practical Nursing required

Experience

• 1-2 years recent clinical experience in an acute care setting required
• Home care / Home health experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Valid LPN license in the District of Columbia Maryland or Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s) Upon Hire required and
• DL - Valid State Driver's License in good standing with a dependable vehicle for transportation Upon Hire required and
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
• Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.

This position has a hiring range of USD $23.33 - USD $37.82 /Yr.
