Job summary

MedStar Health Home Care is seeking a part-time LPN with home health experience to support patients and families in their homes across a range of needs. You will work under the supervision of an RN and contribute to individualized care plans and progress toward goals.

The role emphasizes compassionate, autonomous nursing in a home setting and requires flexibility, including at least one weekend per month and a 6–12 week orientation (Mon–Fri, 8-hour days, three days a week) before starting

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program of Practical Nursing is required.
• 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Home care / home health experience preferred.

Must be able to attend full-time orientation Monday - Friday for 6-12 weeks before starting your part-time schedule (8 hour days x 3 times per week)

Minimal Qualifications

Education

• Graduation from an accredited program of Practical Nursing required

Experience

• 1-2 years recent clinical experience in an acute care setting required


• Home care / Home health experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Valid LPN license in the District of Columbia Maryland or Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s) Upon Hire required and


• DL - Valid State Driver's License in good standing with a dependable vehicle for transportation Upon Hire required and


• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and


• Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
