Job summary

AMG Physical Rehabilitation Hospital – Lafayette is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for night shifts. The LPN provides direct and indirect patient care, maintains regulatory requirements, and communicates changes in patient condition with the nursing team.

Six months to one year of experience and current Louisiana LPN licensure are required. Shift differentials are paid for night and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current Louisiana LPN Licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of six months to one year's work experience.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services meeting psychosocial and physical needs.
• Communicate with physicians and team members about changes in patient's condition.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment responses.

TheLPN provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet thepsychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communicationneeds of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative andresponsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervisionof a Registered Nurse. Maintain regulatory agency requirements, nursing andhospital policies, procedures, and standards. Communicate with physiciansand team members about changes in patient's clinical condition, includingresults of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly andaccurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments withadequate supervision.
