Job Opportunity: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Montgomery County Recovery Center

Sign-on Bonus: Up to $3000 with this position.

Location: Norristown, Pennsylvania

Hours: Part-time/PRN (approximately 5-10 hours per week)

Schedule: Every other Saturday and PRN weekdays between 6:00 am and 10:30 am, earning up to $31 per hour. PRN shifts depend on your availability.

Program Summary

The Montgomery County Recovery Center (MCRC) is a licensed methadone treatment program providing medication-assisted treatment, counseling, and supportive services to individuals struggling with addiction. The program serves clients from all socio-economic backgrounds, offering medical and psychological support, HIV/AIDS testing, and TB testing.

Position Summary

The primary role of an LPN is to oversee, coordinate, and directly intervene in health-related issues of MCRC participants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand the properties and effects of methadone/buprenorphine.
• Monitor clients for signs of inappropriate dosing and take appropriate actions.
• Dispense medication, observe clients during medication intake, and ensure consumption before they leave.
• Monitor clients' physical and psychological conditions and report needs or concerns.
• Assist physicians with physical examinations and medication adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and client information.
• Provide emergency medical treatment when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to ensure quality care and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Current PA Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• Sign-on bonus paid in two installments: half after 90 days and half after 180 days of successful employment; prorated for part-time roles.
