Job summary

Join Elder Homestead Community in Minnetonka, MN as an LPN with VOANS. This is a compassionate, purpose-driven role in a welcoming senior living setting, offering a path for career growth and meaningful daily impact.

You’ll work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with occasional weekends in a supportive team environment. Earn $30.15–$33.30 per hour with a strong benefits package, including 403(b), PTO, life insurance, and wellness incentives.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with active LPN licensure in the applicable state.
• Strong communication with residents, families and colleagues.
• Ability to prioritize duties and manage time effectively.
• Customer service oriented with knowledge of service techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret residents’ charts and physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Listen to shift report and maintain open lines of communication with supervisor and co-workers.
• Make rounds to observe residents' physical and psychosocial status.
• Assign personnel to meet resident needs and ensure correct shift coverage.
• Ensure unit staff and volunteers carry out assignments and maintain competence.
• Maintain documentation of medications, treatments and resident status per policies.
• Treat residents with respect and dignity, recording observations accurately.

What You Bring (Requirements):

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in
  the state of practice.
• Effective communicator with staff, families, and outside agencies.
• Ability to prioritize duties.
• Customer service-oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
• Ability to understand residents’ charts, doctor’s orders, residents’ plan of care, and medication orders.
• Must possess the ability to effectively gather clinical data in regard to resident status and condition.
• Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and
  documentation

What You’ll Be Responsible For

The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Listen to shift report and keep open lines of communication with supervisor, co-workers and on coming shift.
• Make rounds to residents to observe their physical and psychosocial status.
• Assign personnel appropriately to meet resident needs.
• Ensure that unit personnel and volunteers on your shift are carrying out their assignments
• Maintain competence in all required skills within the facility.
• Treat and ensure that residents are treated with respect and dignity.
• Observes, records, and reports to supervisor regarding residents’ conditions, reaction to drugs and treatments and significant events.
• Maintains all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner according to policies and procedures of the facility, including documentation of medications, treatments, restraints, psychotropic medications and skin condition.
