Job summary

Senior Lifestyle in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse for full-time nursing services to residents. You will administer medications per federal and state guidelines and participate in admissions, care planning, and clinical documentation.

CPR certification and English proficiency are required, with at least 1 year in senior care. You will work as part of a team, maintain confidentiality, and respond to emergencies while providing education to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse’s License current in the state of practice (New Mexico if applicable).
• CPR certification required.
• English proficiency to perform duties and communicate with supervisor and team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications in compliance with Federal & State regulations and guidelines.
• Assist with admissions including assessments and documentation.
• Develop and document acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
• Conduct clinical system tracking (e.g., wounds, infection control) under direction.
• Provide health-related consultations within the community.
• Notify physicians and family members of health changes and maintain proper documentation.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and communicate with staff.
• Educate residents and staff on health topics.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Discharge, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.

Job Description

Salary $37 per hour - Full Time

• Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
• May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.
• Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
• May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the director.
• Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
• Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.
• Respond quickly to all emergencies.
• Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• May be responsible for discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.

Qualifications

Level of Formal Education: Training from an accredited licenses or vocational nursing program

Area of Study: General nursing

Years of Experience: 1+ years

Type of Experience: Senior care or related field

Special Certifications: Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse’s License current in the state in which they are practicing. Also, needs to be CPR Certified

Language Skills: Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.

Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills
