Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our assisted living team on full-time evening shifts. You will administer medications, participate in admissions assessments, and develop care and service plans for residents.

The ideal candidate holds an active LPN license in New Mexico, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of senior care experience, with strong teamwork, communication, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• LPN license current in NM; CPR certification required.
• 1+ year of experience in senior care or related field.
• Proficient in English to perform duties and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications following regulations and guidelines.

Job Description

Salary Range: $33.00 to $35.00 per hour (Evening Hours - Full Time)

• Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
• May be responsible for the admission of new residents, including all admission assessments and documentation.
• Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
• May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e., wounds or infection control) under the direction of the director.
• Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
• Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in a resident’s health and provide proper documentation.
• Respond quickly to all emergencies.
• Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• May be responsible for discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.

Qualifications

Level of Formal Education: Training from an accredited licenses or vocational nursing program
Area of Study: General nursing
Years of Experience: 1+ years
Type of Experience: Senior care or related field
Special Certifications: Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse’s License current in the state in which they are practicing. Also, needs to be CPR Certified
Language Skills: Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills
