Job summary

Tanner Health in Carrollton, GA seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to assist physicians in clinical care, including patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, and to support day-to-day office operations.

Requires GA LPN license or multistate license. Six months of clinical experience preferred; oncology tests/labs experience a plus. BLS within 1 month is required.

Qualifications

• Six months of clinical work experience preferred; oncology experience is a plus.
• Must follow clinical standards and maintain confidentiality.
• Able to interpret patient medical records and physician orders.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.
• BLS certification required within 1 month.

Responsible for assisting the physician in clinical care of all patients to include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Will also have general responsibilities to assist in the day-to-day clinical operations of the office.

Qualifications

• Six months previous work experience in a clinical setting as a LPN preferred. Medical practice preferred. Clinical rotation time considered.
• Must possess the sense of discipline to work in accordance with accepted clinical standards.
• Must maintain high degree of confidentiality.
• Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient's medical records, physician's orders and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital, and or other physician.
• Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians.
• Prior experience performing oncology tests & labs preferred.
• NOTE: BLS within 1 month
