Job summary

Garden Healthcare's Belle Terrace is hiring part-time Licensed Practical Nurses committed to providing excellent resident care. The LPN delivers direct nursing care, administers treatments and medications, and oversees direct care staff during the shift.

Licensed in PA with active CPR is required; one year of long-term care experience is preferred. The facility operates with a shift differential for the 3pm-11pm window and offers a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active PA LPN license. CPR certification required.
• One year experience in long-term care PRN or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Administer treatments and medications.
• Organize and distribute daily assignments to direct care staff and ensure Flow of Care.

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assumes responsibility and accountability for nursing services delivered to assigned residents of a designated unit for one shift. The LPN Nurse provides direct care, administers treatments and medications, organizes and distributes daily assignments to direct care staff consistent with staff competency and each individual resident's comprehensive resident assessment and plan of care. The LPN supervises direct care staff and makes decisions about resident care needs during shifts concerning scope of clinical competence, consistent with facility policies and procedures. The Licensed Practical Nurse also ensures that “Flow of Care” is followed

Job Requirements:

Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.

Certificate/Licenses: Current, active license as Licensed Practical Nurse in PA. Active CPR Certification required.

Work Experience: One year experience providing direct care to residents in long term care setting preferred but not required.
