Job summary

Empire Care Centers is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 7 am–3 pm, part-time shift. You will monitor residents, collaborate on care plans with physicians and nurses, perform routine procedures, manage medications, and ensure safety and hygiene across the facility. You’ll also supervise CNAs and provide compassionate care to residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' condition and assess needs to provide best possible care.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop individualized care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Inspect facilities to maintain hygiene and safety; decontaminate equipment and surfaces.
• Provide immediate care in emergencies.
• Supervise and train CNAs.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients' condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
• Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections, etc.) and fill in patients' charts
• Adjust and administer patients' medication and provide treatments according to physicians' orders
• Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, etc.)
• Provide instant medical care in emergencies
• Supervise and train (CNAs) nursing assistants
