Job summary

Sunset Health Care Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team in Missouri. The role involves nursing care, medication administration, and implementing physician orders for residents in a senior living setting.

We offer a night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM with a shift differential, plus a generous sign-on bonus for full-time candidates and ongoing education support. Join us for a values-driven, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited LPN School of Nursing.
• One year of nursing experience is preferred.
• Valid LPN license in state of Missouri.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Highly motivated and able to assist in all aspects of nursing.
• Provide services that exceed company and regulatory standards.
• Initiates and leads individualized nursing care plans.
• Assesses and documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders.
• Assigns nursing care to team members in accordance with the resident’s needs and the person’s capabilities and qualifications.
• Administers medications.
• Starts IVs and performs treatments for assigned residents.
• Documents that treatment as required.
• Ensures that supplies are utilized economically, and that equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
• Other duties as assigned
