Job summary

Majestic Care Terre Haute is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and provide skilled nursing care under the direction of the nursing management team. This role includes supervising CNAs and ensuring residents receive high-quality care within the assigned unit.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, administering medications, documenting conditions, and assisting with physician-ordered tests and procedures. DSP states that CPR is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Active LPN license in the state of employment.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Position Overview:

Majestic Care LPNs render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians' orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred but not required.
