Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Staunton, VA is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to support individuals with I/DD and mental health needs in a warm, home-like Crisis Therapeutic Home.

You will administer medications, conduct nursing assessments, and educate residents while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. A sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits support professional growth within a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia LPN license or eligibility to practice in Virginia.
• MH/I/DD care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced crisis setting.

Responsibilities

Are you a new or seasoned LPN with a passion for mental health looking for a full-time role? At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities. We are seeking compassionate and motivated full-time Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Virginia REACH team in supporting individuals with I/DD and mental health needs at our warm, home-like Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH) in Staunton, VA.

Monday - Friday, 3pm-11pm

Monday - Friday, 11pm-7am

Your Role in Our Mission

• Provide compassionate medical and nursing support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health needs
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with clinical protocols
• Conduct nursing assessments
• Educate and empower individuals regarding their mental and physical health
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all nursing services and observations
• Uphold compliance with all regulatory and clinical care standards to ensure the highest quality of service

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive rate: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour for this full time, non-exempt position
• Sign-on and retention bonus is paid out upon successful completion of 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year!

What We’re Looking For

• Licensure: Current valid, unrestricted licensed as a Practical Nurse in state of Virginia
• Knowledge: MH and I/DD systems of care preferred
• Skills: Strong communication and documentation
• Experience: Crisis prevention and intervention services preferred
• Transportation: A valid driver's license and car insurance for occasional transportation to appointments
