Easterseals PORT Health in Culpeper, VA is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to support youth with I/DD and mental health needs at our Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home. The role includes medication administration, patient education, and close collaboration with the care team in a home-like setting.

Eligible candidates hold a Virginia LPN license, have strong communication skills, and are comfortable with crisis prevention.

Qualifications

• Current valid, unrestricted LPN license in Virginia.
• MH and I/DD care experience preferred.
• Crisis prevention/intervention experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing support to youth with I/DD and behavioral health needs.
• Administer medications safely and accurately per clinical protocols.
• Educate and empower individuals regarding their health.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation of nursing services and observations.

Are you a new or seasoned LPN with a passion for mental health looking for a part‑time role? At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities. We are seeking compassionate and motivated part‑time Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Virginia REACH team in supporting youth with I/DD and mental health needs at our warm, home‑like Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home (YCTH) in Culpeper, VA.

$5,000 sign-on and retention bonus for every other weekend, new hire nurses

Schedule Option:

PT: Every other Sat & Sun 7am-7pm

Your Role in Our Mission

Provide compassionate medical and nursing support to youth with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health needs

Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with clinical protocols

Educate and empower individuals regarding their mental and physical health

Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, person‑centered care

Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all nursing services and observations

Uphold compliance with all regulatory and clinical care standards to ensure the highest quality of service

What We’re Looking For

• Licensure: Current valid, unrestricted licensed as a Practical Nurse in state of Virginia
• Knowledge: MH and I/DD systems of care preferred
• Skills: Strong communication and documentation
• Experience: Crisis prevention and intervention services preferred
• Transportation: A valid driver’s license and car insurance for occasional transportation to appointments
