Verland is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team at our Main Campus in Sewickley, PA. Sign on Bonus: $7,500 for new employees.
Responsibilities
- Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments.
- Assess physical status of residents daily and report unusual behavior or condition to the Charge Nurse.
- Assist with physician visits as assigned.
- Document care given to residents on a daily, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Develop and implement health care plans for assigned residents as part of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and attend staffing and ITR reviews.
- Participate in Nursing Department committee meetings as assigned.
- LPN will not insert nasogastric tubes or obtain physicians' orders.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements
- Working knowledge of professional standards and current nursing trends.
- Ability to comprehend residents’ records and physicians’ orders and communicate information effectively.
- Ability to establish working relationships with other IDT members.
- Ability to document residents’ care in a comprehensive manner according to professional and legal standards.
Minimum Training and Experience
- Graduate of a recognized one‑year practical nurse program and hold current Pennsylvania registration.
- At least one year of experience in an acute care facility or related field (rehabilitation, extended‑care facility).
- All required clearances and a valid driver’s license.
