Job summary

Apple Rehab Saybrook seeks an LPN Charge Nurse to lead nursing services for assigned residents, ensuring quality care and adherence to policies, with collaborative teamwork.

You will document care, administer medications, and coordinate with physicians, families, and staff in a 100-bed skilled nursing setting along the shoreline in Old Saybrook CT. Weekend on-call is required; per diem shifts available.

Qualifications

• Valid state nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a registered nurse).
• In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and long-term care regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Collaborative team player with experience in long-term care preferred.
• All LPN positions require weekend on-call availability; compensation details available upon inquiry.

Responsibilities:

• The LPN Charge Nurse plays a pivotal role in planning, executing, and overseeing nursing services for assigned residents. This includes adhering to quality care standards, facility policies, legal requirements, medical practices, and physician instructions.

• Efficiently plans and provides professional care while aligning with the needs of residents and the changing medical landscape.

• Maintains professionalism in interactions with residents, physicians, families, peers, and support staff.

• Documents crucial information related to resident care accurately and comprehensively.

• Administers prescribed medications and oversees accurate record-keeping in line with facility policies.

Positions/Shifts:

• Full time (32 hours/ week) 7-3pm

• Part time (24 hours/ week) 7-3pm

• Full time (32 hours/ week) 3-11pm

• Part time (24 hours/ week) 3-11pm

• Full time (32 hours/ week) 11-7am

• Per Diem

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts

• Weekend Differential: $1.00 for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday

• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts up to 40 hours worked outside scheduled hours

Hourly range: $35.00 -$38.00 / per hour
