Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Norfolk, VA is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for all shifts. Join a nationwide network delivering detox, residential, PHP/IOP, and outpatient care with a mission to provide compassionate, evidence-based treatment.

Responsibilities include completing admissions assessments, performing routine nursing duties, coordinating with medical and UR teams, and maintaining accurate medication logs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one-year diploma program post-high school.
• Current, valid LPN licensure in VA.
• 1 year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent collaborative, multitasking and time management skills.

• Complete comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties (screening, vitals, scheduling appointments and labs, updating charts).
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense meds and maintain med logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure seamless coordination of care.
• Ensure impeccable medical documentation, chart review, and medication logging for each client.

Days: 6am-6pm

Nights: 6pm-6am

What You'll Do

• Complete comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission
