Job summary

Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell is seeking full-time and part-time LPNs to care for residents across all shifts. Competitive pay ranges from $35 to $40 per hour with weekly pay; evenings, overnights, and weekends include shift differentials.

You will supervise nursing assistants, maintain care plans, follow physician orders, document notes, and administer medications. New graduates welcome and encouraged to apply; valid MA LPN/LVN license and CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved LPN/LVN program.
• CPR certification required.
• Current unencumbered MA LPN/LVN license.

Responsibilities

• Meet nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Maintain resident care plans for all residents under care.
• Follow physician orders and provide nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other orders.
• Transcribe physician orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily for accuracy and completeness.
• Document comprehensive nursing notes.
• Visit each resident daily to evaluate needs.
• Maintain awareness of residents on alert list.
• Document and report significant findings and contact physician when needed.
• Administer medication as prescribed and maintain drug security.

Openings on all shifts. $35 to $40 an hour, depending on the shift, with weekly pay. Evenings, overnights, and weekends have shift differentials.

You supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Experience & Education:

• Must be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under his/her care.
• Follow physician’s orders. Renders and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders.
• Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness.
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.
• Visit each resident daily to evaluate resident needs.
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list.
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary.
• Administer medication according to procedure.
• Maintain an accurate and safe control of all drugs for which he/she is responsible.
