Job summary

Journey’s Jasper Point location is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses for shifts from 7 a.m.–7 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Eligible staff can earn a $5/hr attendance bonus on scheduled shifts, with weekly pay and DailyPay option. Flexible interview scheduling, plus benefits such as insurance, 401(k), telehealth, and a company phone for eligible full-time team members, are offered.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of LPNs and CNAs in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Follows nursing model to promote holistic resident care.
• Ensures policy compliance by nursing staff.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses changes in residents’ status and notifies physician and family as needed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
