Job summary

Journey in Georgia seeks an experienced RN to lead the nursing team in a long-term care facility, delivering holistic, high-quality resident care while upholding regulatory standards.

You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, participate in admissions, discharges and transfers, and document changes for physician review. Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and CNAs in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses changes in residents’ status, notifies the physician and resident’s family or representative and documents accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical records and carries out orders as written.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
