Job summary

Capitol House Nursing & Rehabilitation in Baton Rouge, LA is now hiring for full-time and part-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our resident-focused care team.

As an LPN you will provide nursing care, administer and document medications, monitor residents for drug effects, record progress notes, report changes to the charge nurse, and participate in staff and interdisciplinary meetings.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Have dependable transportation, driver’s license, and car insurance

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Administer and document medication to residents in an accurate and timely manner
• Observe residents for effectiveness of drug therapy and adverse effects
• Document resident progress notes as required
• Promptly report changes in residents' condition to charge nurse
• Attend staff meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, rehab meetings, in-service classes and committee meetings as assigned
