Job summary

Fairmont Crossing Health & Rehab Center in Amherst, VA is seeking compassionate LPNs for full-time, part-time, or per diem roles. Shifts run 7:00 am–7:00 pm and 7:00 pm–7:00 am, with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities include administering medications, collaborating with RNs and CNAs, and delivering resident-focused care. A Virginia LPN license and CPR/BLS are required; new grads are welcome. Daily pay options and tuition/CEU support are available.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Virginia is required.
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) is required.
• New grads welcome; LTC/SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents per standards of practice and physician orders.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately.
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support residents’ physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies and regulations.
• Record and monitor vital signs and patient histories.

What You’ll Do:

Provide nursing care to ensure resident needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines

• Administer medications and treatments with precision and compassion
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary teams
• Support residents’ physical, emotional, and psychological well-being
• Assist with resident comfort.
• Collect samples and monitor catheters. Provide wound care.
• Keep resident patient information confidential, follow all policies and procedures, and adhere to federal, state, local requirements, and professional standards.
• Collect, track, maintain, and review patient medical history, charts, and physical condition, including heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
• Help coach staff as necessary.

Requirements:

• Current LPN license in Virginia
• CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
• Previous LTC or SNF experience preferred, but new grads welcome!
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong clinical judgment
