Job summary

Hcshiring is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse to supervise and coordinate nursing care for residents. You will oversee clinical staff, document resident conditions, and ensure orders are implemented accurately and promptly in compliance with state regulations.

You will administer medications, participate in staff orientation and training, and promote a collaborative, safe, and compassionate care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited LPN/LVN School of Nursing.
• Valid LPN/LVN license in this state.
• Valid CPR certification.
• One year experience in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs.
• Implements physicians’ orders accurately and promptly.
• Assigns nursing care to team members according to resident needs and capabilities.
• Supervises and evaluates junior staff and CNAs.
• Administers medications and performs treatments for residents, documenting care as required by regulations.
• Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Ensures supplies are used economically and equipment is maintained safely.
• Reports and records pertinent observations and resident reactions.
• Coordinates nursing care during therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assists with emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
• Supervises nursing unit/hall staffing within state requirements.
• Promotes staff morale and professional relationships.
• Ensures inventory and supplies are managed on the unit and coordinates housekeeping/dietary support.
• Responds to resident call lights and checks residents frequently.
• Reports suspected abuse immediately to appropriate leadership.
