Job summary

Henry Ford Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Orthopedic Joint Replacement, Bariatric, Surgical Unit, a 36-bed area staffed by skilled professionals. You will work 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing nursing care under supervision and collaborating with the care team to implement and evaluate care plans.

Graduate from an accredited LPN program with current Michigan licensure, BLS, and ambulatory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing School.
• Previous ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the delegated authority of a registered nurse or provider, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) uses sound nursing judgment in provision of nursing care. Performs a variety of both technical and routine nursing services. Collaborates with health care team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the nursing care plan. Demonstrates clinical competence.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing School.
• For the ambulatory setting, previous ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

Certifications/Licensures Required

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Successful completion of HFHS pharmacology exam for the LPN.
• Current BLS.
• LPNs that work in home care environments must have reliable daily transportation and will be required to maintain insurance, acceptable driving record according to HFHS Policy 4.09, and meet fingerprinting eligibility standards.
