Job Overview: This position contributes to nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and documenting data. It involves participating in developing the nursing plan of care under the guidance of an RN, physician, or other healthcare professionals, and implementing this plan through direct basic nursing care within the LPN scope of practice as set forth in the Nurse Practice Act. The role also includes evaluating client responses to nursing care and documenting findings accurately and promptly.

Job Description:

Part Time Day Shift

This role involves collecting data for nursing assessment, maintaining and updating the care plan, providing a safe environment respecting patient rights and dignity, prioritizing workload, recognizing emergencies, and documenting care and responses in accordance with TriHealth guidelines. It includes administering medications safely, using equipment properly, interpreting physician orders, and contributing to process improvements. Building relationships with the healthcare team and engaging in professional development are also key components.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved nursing technical, professional, or vocational program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Licensed Practical Nurse licensure, or RN licensure (acceptable)
• NAPNES certification if graduated prior to 1988
• Basic knowledge of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences

Additional Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the plan of care and discharge planning
• Implement and document patient care, ensuring safety and dignity
• Perform technical skills and administer medications within scope
• Evaluate patient responses and communicate findings timely
• Participate in professional growth activities and foster collaborative relationships
