Part Time - Day Shift

Job Overview:

This position applies the nursing process in providing direct and indirect holistic care to patients and their families. The position also collaborates with physicians and other healthcare team members to meet patient needs. It may delegate certain aspects of care to supervised personnel within the scope of nursing practice.

Job Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing (Required)
• New hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire (Required)
• Up to 1 year clinical nursing experience (Required)
• Knowledge of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex healthcare needs
• Preferred membership in professional organizations
• Registered Nurse licensure

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and families initially and ongoing, document findings, and communicate with healthcare providers
• Plan and individualize care based on assessments, standards, and outcomes; develop and update care plans and goals; include discharge planning
• Create a safe, respectful environment, maintaining patient autonomy and dignity; recognize emergencies and respond appropriately
• Complete patient assignments timely, document interventions, and train/educate staff; communicate effectively about surgical cases and carry out physician orders
• Evaluate and revise care plans based on patient responses and collaborate with the healthcare team; supervise delegated care
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitor effects, and use equipment properly
• Engage in professional development, share knowledge, and support continuous improvement initiatives
