Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for homecare assignments. You will provide direct patient care, wound care, medications administration and assessments in clients' homes across the Brookings area.

Enjoy flexible scheduling, 1 year+ eligibility for PRN/part-time hours, and weekly pay. Opportunities for full-time hours may arise based on scheduling needs and client demand.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in South Dakota or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous LPN experience preferred with 1000 hours.
• Current CPR certification; on-site CPR available for qualified candidates.
• Maintain all required certifications and standards.
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in home settings.

Responsibilities

• Providing wound care and monitoring wound healing.
• Managing medications and administering treatments per orders and facility protocols.
• Care for patients with PEG tubes and related feeding needs as applicable.
• Administering infusions and monitoring patient responses.
• Performing lab draws and collecting specimens as ordered.
• Conducting nursing assessments and monitoring clients' conditions.
• Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Performing other nursing duties as assigned within scope of practice.

Licensed Practical Nurse Job Responsibilities

As an LPN working with Interim HealthCare, nurses may review and decline any assignment prior to accepting it if they are not comfortable with required tasks. Additional training is provided where needed. Some responsibilities could include:

• Providing wound care and monitoring wound healing
• Managing medications and administering treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols
• Providing care for patients with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tubes and related feeding needs, as applicable
• Administering infusions and monitoring patients for responses or complications
• Performing lab draws and collecting specimens as ordered
• Conducting nursing assessments and monitoring clients conditions
• Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Performing other nursing duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (LPN) license in South Dakota or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous LPN experience required - 1000 hours worked
• Current CPR certification required; on-site CPR certification is available for qualified candidates
• Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of home settings
