Maxim Healthcare in Orlando is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to provide care for pediatric and/or adult patients in their own homes throughout Orlando, FL. This role offers hourly pay with potential sign-on bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, initiating and adjusting care plans, administering meds, and documenting outcomes. Applicants must hold an active LPN license in the state and meet requirements such as BLS and PPD/Chest X-ray.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• ONE YEAR prior LPN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care in home settings.
• Initiates plan of care and revises as patient needs change with prescriber input.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors effectiveness and documents outcomes.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, discharge planning and care coordination as applicable.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
