Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, an LPN/LVN provides licensed nursing care, responsible for assigned residents/patients during a shift. Care involves coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the resident’s/patient’s plan of care. The LPN/LVN adheres to care standards, maintains safety, supervises nursing assistants, and follows all policies and procedures as per the State Nurse Practice Act.

Required Education and Experience

• Licensed in the State as an LPN
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate drug dosages
• Meet all health requirements imposed by law
• Effective communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; basic computer skills with aptitude to learn company applications
