Registered Nurse - Emergency Services (Part-time, Evenings) with $1,250 Sign-on Bonus

Join Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Services. This is a part-time evening position offering a sign-on bonus of $1,250.

Position Details:

  • Hours: 24 hrs/week, 0.6 FTE, 11a-11p
  • Salary Range: $34.50 - $58.04 per hour, dependent on experience and internal equity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings
  • Communicate changes in patient condition promptly
  • Develop and modify care plans based on assessments and patient needs
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to plan and evaluate care
  • Provide patient education using teach-back methodology and distribute educational materials
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure safe medication administration and maintain a safe environment
  • Lead and support colleagues, oversee patient care, and participate in unit safety and quality initiatives
  • Utilize technology effectively, including EMR, monitoring systems, and medical devices

Qualifications:

  • Required: BSN, current Illinois RN license, BLS certification
  • Preferred: Specialty certification, strong interpersonal and analytical skills, ADN with commitment to BSN within three years
