Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, an LPN performs as a licensed caregiver, responsible for assigned residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care involves coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the resident’s/patient’s plan of care. The LPN adheres to care standards, manages the environment to ensure safety, and supervises nursing assistants. All duties are performed in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and center policies.

Required Education and Experience

• Licensed in the State as an LPN

• Current CPR certification

• Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)

• Ability to calculate drug dosages

• Meets all health requirements mandated by law

• Positive, effective communication with residents, families, staff, and community members

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; basic computer skills with ability to learn company applications
