Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to float across Manhattan sites. You will update EMRs, assist physicians, and manage labs and injections while supporting patient education and care coordination.

The role requires an NYS LPN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of LPN experience; Spanish language skills are preferred. Benefits include health coverage from day 1 and a $5,000 sign-on bonus after 6 months.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of LPN experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Spanish-speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain the electronic medical record with vitals, demographics, medication reconciliation, allergies, and diagnoses.
• Manage physician inbox messages and prioritize tasks in the EMR.
• Assist with inventory management and place orders for supplies.
• Prepare and escort patients to exam rooms and provide education on medications and home care.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures; prepare and administer injections.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens; conduct point-of-care testing and EKGs.
