Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide quality nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse or physician. You will assist with patient examinations, collect data, prepare patients, and support procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, scheduling procedures, collecting specimens, and ensuring documentation accuracy. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and current LPN licensure or eNLC; CPR may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current state LPN licensure or multistate licensure through eNLC required.
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• State approved IV course certification preferred.
• Knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment may be required.
• CPR certification may be required depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care under supervision of a nurse or physician.
• Assists with equipment prep and with treatment, examination, and testing.
• Collects assessment data and documents clinical information.
• Orders diagnostic tests and reviews results before physician assessment.
• Schedules procedures and obtains necessary authorizations.
• May administer injections or medications and collect specimens.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
