Job summary

Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Clinical Call Center in Georgia, providing licensed clinical support for patients accessing MSM clinics by phone and via virtual channels. This role serves as a key access point between patients, providers, and Morehouse Medicine clinical practices.

Minimum qualifications include a GA LPN license, Associate’s degree preferred, CPR certification, and at least two years of LPN experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree preferred. Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Georgia. Must obtain a Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certificate (CPR).
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of LPN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care to patients.
• Attends to the general healthcare and comfort of the patient.
• Observes and records treatment and patient progress and reports patient’s condition or reaction to supervisor(s).
• Administers prescribed medications.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within the Clinical Call Center to provide licensed clinical support for patients accessing the medical practice by telephone and through virtual communication channels. The Call Center serves as an important access point between patients, providers, and Morehouse Medicine clinical practices. Patient communications frequently involve clinical concerns that require more than administrative call handling, including symptoms, medication questions, follow-up needs, provider messages, virtual-care support, and other patient-care concerns requiring appropriate clinical review and escalation.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate’s Degree preferred. Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Georgia. Must obtain a Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certificate (CPR).

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of LPN experience.
