Responsibilities

Location: Donaldson, Correctional Facility

Location: Bessemer, AL

Rate: $27.20 - $35.50

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000

As a Behavioral Health LPN with YesCare, your responsibilities include:

1. Initiating the admission process and assisting with identifying recurrent health problems, symptoms, and behavioral changes of inmates. Collect data through observation, interviews, and communication with the health team. Record all assessment data in the inmate's medical record.
2. Assisting in developing written care plans with short-term and long-term goals, and setting priorities to meet inmate needs.
3. Assisting physicians with minor medical/surgical procedures, transcribing, and posting therapeutic orders, and administering routine and PRN medications.
4. Implementing and documenting prescribed nursing interventions in accordance with policies and procedures.
5. Monitoring and reporting changes in inmate conditions to the health team.
6. Counting controlled drugs and contraband, if requested.
7. Practicing universal precautions during nursing procedures.
8. Performing other duties as assigned.
