Job summary

Coosa Valley Medical Center in Alabama is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support the RN-led care team and perform delegated tasks. The LPN will serve as a care partner to the RN/Team Leader and help deliver quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate holds a current Alabama LPN license, completes orientation, and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to engage patients and families in their care.

Qualifications

• Must possess current license as Practical Nurse from State of Alabama.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing or Alabama Board of Nursing requirements to be waived.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and families and elicit cooperation.
• Orientation period of one to three months to learn department policies.

Responsibilities

• LPN functions under supervision of RN Team Leader and performs delegated tasks.
• LPN is care partner to RN/Team Leader and participates in patient care
• Patient care is provided collaboratively within department procedures
• Tasks performed are in compliance with Alabama Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
