Job summary

Coosa Valley Medical Center (CVMC) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a progressive health care team. The LPN functions under supervision of the RN Team Leader and performs delegated tasks, serving as a care partner to the RN.

Patient care is delivered collaboratively and in accordance with department policies and the Alabama Nurse Practice Act. The role requires graduation from an accredited PN program and an active PN license in Alabama, with orientation to learn unit policies.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing or meet Alabama Board of Nursing requirements to be 'waived'.
• Must possess current license as Practical Nurse from State of Alabama.
• Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with patients and families, to elicit cooperation and allay apprehensions.
• Work requires orientation to acquire familiarity with department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Licensed Practical Nurse functions under supervision of RN Team Leader and performs delegated tasks.
• Licensed Practical Nurse is care partner to RN/Team Leader.
• Patient care is provided collaboratively.
• Tasks performed are in compliance with department and hospital policies and procedures and within education preparation as well as Alabama Nurse Practice Act.
