Under broad supervision, provide assistance to public health nurses and county programs. Provides general direct nursing care, including medical treatments, administering medication, and giving injections. Assigned to specific clinical duties within the scope of LPN practice in public health and acts as lead worker over specified projects or programs.
All District 4 Public Health, County BOH employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in events not limited to staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC), and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). Participation is expected as part of your job requirement, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
PH Licensed Practical Nurse Level 1 - (Annual salary - $33,000)
Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college AND current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse AND CPR certification AND completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN. No experience required.
PH Licensed Practical Nurse Level 2 - (Annual salary - $35,800)
Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college AND two years of LPN public health experience AND current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse AND CPR certification.
PH Licensed Practical Nurse Level 3 - (Annual salary - $38,926.79)
Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college AND four years of LPN public health experience AND current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse AND CPR certification.
