The Henry County Health Department is seeking a Public Health Licensed Practical Nurse to provide essential nursing care and support public health initiatives. This role involves administering immunizations, conducting screenings, and responding to emergencies. Candidates must hold a current Georgia LPN license and possess effective communication skills. Under broad supervision, provide assistance to public health nurses and county programs. Provide general direct nursing care, including medical treatments, medication administration, and injections. Perform specific clinical duties within the scope of an LPN in public health and act as a lead worker over designated projects or programs.
All District 4 Public Health, County BOH employees are deemed essential during emergencies. You may be called to participate in activities such as staffing shelters, Specimen Point of Collection Sites (SPOC), and Point of Dispensing sites (POD). Participation during or outside regular hours is a job requirement.
Vocational/Technical degree in LPN from an accredited college, current Georgia LPN license, CPR certification, completion of orientation and training. No experience required. Salary: $33,000/year.
Same as Level 1, plus two years of LPN public health experience. Salary: $35,800/year.
Same as Level 1, plus four years of LPN public health experience. Salary: $38,926.79/year.
