Job summary

Amedisys, Inc. is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for PRN weekday shifts in Winchester, TN. You will verify plans of care with the RN, collaborate with physicians, and teach patients self-care techniques to support at-home healing.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license, state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met; notify changes promptly.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Review medications and perform reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
